About Vintage Eight
Horror on YouTube is growing, and the next generation of horror filmmakers is already using the platform to sharpen their craft. Vintage Eight is a micro-budget production company focused on creating experimental and traditional horror shorts, features, and video essays. One of the channel’s notable successes, The Children Under the House, was acquired by Reel Nightmare Films and released on Tubi, where it continues to grow its audience.
Short films such as Don’t Let Them In, Knock Knock, and Ear Worm have found success on the festival circuit and continue to reach new audiences through the channel. In addition, I have worked to expand the reach of previously released films, including Sacrilege and The Thing Inside Us, by redistributing them to new audiences.

CHILDREN UNDER THE HOUSE - A YouTube series with Tubi Appeal.
I created The Children Under the House after discovering analog horror and becoming fascinated by how much emotion and dread could come from so little. I wanted to see how simple a horror feature could be while still creating real fear. The film was made entirely with crayons, paper, and a single narrator, and it stands as possibly the most minimalist and lowest-budget horror film in history. I submitted it to the Guinness Book of World Records for verification, but the category was under review.
The story was inspired in part by my work with the Louisiana Department of Child Services, where I saw how children express trauma and truth through drawing. Those experiences stayed with me, and I wanted to explore how innocence and horror can coexist in something as simple as a child’s sketch.
Distributed through Reel Nightmare and streaming on Tubi, the film has been incredibly well received. Fans have connected with it on Letterboxd, Reddit, and YouTube, and the positive response inspired me to collect the original drawings into a companion book, which has sold over 700 copies on Amazon. Several YouTube creators with millions of followers have reviewed and reacted to the film, helping the story reach a wider audience and sparking further discussion. I know the movie is not for everyone, but those who do enjoy it often claim it was as emotional as it was horrifying.
